Newsletter 2010-07-01: Newsletters merged, DIASYM Betatest begins, C-Diary 1.20 available Print
Thursday, 01 July 2010

Dear customers,

in order to simplify things, I have merged the two newsletters "C-Diary newsletter" and "hermocom newsletter".
The "C-Diary newsletter" doesn't exist anymore. All news is sent using the "hermocom newsletter" now. You don't have to do anything. If you were subscribed to the "C-Diary newsletter" only before, you are now automatically subscribed to the "hermocom newsletter".

UPDATES:

- the hermocom website has a new look. The old structure is kept, though. The new look is meant to be more convenient for browsing and reading, and the new template used for the layout has much less bugs than the prior one had.

- C-Diary, the SiDiary-compatible Symbian-based diabetes data management version 1.20 is now available:
http://www.hermocom.com/products/symbian/c-diary
Now, you don't need a demo license anymore to test C-Diary. Just download, install and start. Usage is limited only by a 15-records limit of the diary.
The configuration files are now user-accessible (not hidden in protected directories anymore).
Some other enhancements. See history file.

- DIASYM, the DIABASS-compatible Symbian-based diabetes data management, is now available for betatesting.
http://www.hermocom.com/products/symbian/diasym
(Please be aware that the DIASYM import filter for DIABASS is not ready yet. mediaspects will provide that filter in the next couple of days. A download link for that filter will be provided on the DIASYM homepage.)

- Palmtop with Microsoft Windows XP:
I have tested the UMID mbook M1 from a former HP 200LX power user point of view. See my review here:
http://www.hermocom.com/knowledgebase/umpcs/hplxm1
Probably I will also test the upcoming Viliv N5, once it is available. I expect it to have less "teething troubles" than the mbook M1, which was one of the very first devices of its kind.

Daniel Hertrich,

hermocom
